Free planning resource
Measure essential loads. Size backup energy with fewer guesses.
Download the free Tecnobosque workbook to record measured device consumption, build a wildfire-outage load plan and compare that plan with usable battery energy.
Three-step workflow
Turn a device list into an energy plan
This workbook helps answer a narrow but important question: how much stored energy is needed to run selected equipment for a planned period?
Measure
Record starting and ending energy-meter readings plus the duration of each representative test.
Plan
Enter quantity and desired runtime for air cleaners, communications, lighting, refrigeration and other chosen loads.
Compare
Review planned watt-hours, required nominal capacity, available usable battery energy and the resulting balance.
What is included
A reusable audit, not a product-size shortcut
- Start Here: concise instructions, colour key and limitations.
- Measurements: twelve editable device rows with automatic average-power calculations.
- Energy Plan: usable-capacity, efficiency and reserve assumptions with a clear energy balance.
- Example Only: a separated demonstration so sample numbers are not confused with measured data.
- Built-in checks: warnings for incomplete tests, reversed meter values and invalid planning inputs.
Use it responsibly
The result is an energy estimate—not an electrical design
Runtime depends on real loads, inverter behaviour, temperature, battery condition, cycling and other losses. Use representative measurements and keep reserve rather than planning around the theoretical nameplate limit.
Generator sizing also requires running watts, starting surge, fuel, ventilation, grounding and manufacturer instructions. Never operate a fuel-burning generator indoors, in a garage, or near openings.
